The Oil Mill

Where tradition and innovation merge to offer the highest quality.

Almazaras de la Subbética, a first-class agricultural cooperativefounded in July 2007, is the result of the merger of two prestigious and experienced cooperatives: SCA Virgen del Castillo and SCA Olivarera Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno , both with over 60 years of experience in the sector. TheRute Agricultural Cooperative SCAjoined the group in 2020,  continuing the legacy of traditional olive groves within the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park. This brought together the more than 7,000 family members that make up Almazaras de la Subbética today.

The Most Natural Environment

Discover the secret behind our oils

Almazaras de la Subbética is located in the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park, a protected cultivation area declared of environmental interest. Our farmers have managed to overcome the obstacles posed by the rugged terrain of their plantations and the higher costs of tillage and harvesting.

By modernizing cultivation techniques and using small, modern machinery, they have successfully adapted tradition and technology to the high standards of quality demanded by the most discerning consumers. The olive tree is the foundation of our entire olive mill activity, which is why we believe it is essential to take care of the process from the very beginning, using environmentally sustainable techniques that protect the biodiversity and scenic beauty of the surrounding area.

Everyone at Almazaras de la Subbética feels a true connection to this Mediterranean tree, which year after year gives us its finest fruit.
